NeighbourCharge provides a marketplace connecting drivers and hosts. We are not a party to any charging arrangement between users. We do not own, operate, or maintain any charging equipment. The platform facilitates discovery, booking, and payment processing only.

5. Host responsibilities

If you list a charger on NeighbourCharge, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your charger (type, power output, availability, location)
  • Ensure your charging equipment is safe, properly maintained, and compliant with UK electrical safety standards
  • Hold appropriate home insurance that covers the use of your charger by third parties
  • Be available or make arrangements for drivers to access the charger during confirmed bookings
  • Honour confirmed bookings unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy
  • Set fair and reasonable pricing for your charging services
  • Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations, including planning permissions if required

6. Driver responsibilities

If you use NeighbourCharge to find and book charging sessions, you agree to:

  • Treat host properties with respect and care
  • Arrive on time for confirmed bookings

  • Follow any instructions provided by the host regarding charger use and property access
  • Report any damage to the charger or property immediately
  • Pay for all confirmed charging sessions promptly
  • Not unplug or tamper with charging equipment belonging to other users

7. Bookings and payments

When a booking is confirmed:

  • Both driver and host are expected to honour the arrangement
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details
  • NeighbourCharge may charge a service fee on transactions, which will be clearly displayed before booking confirmation
  • Hosts receive payment after the charging session is completed, minus any applicable service fees
  • All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable

8. Cancellations and refunds

  • Driver cancellations: Free cancellation up to 2 hours before the scheduled session. Late cancellations may incur a fee
  • Host cancellations: Hosts should avoid cancelling confirmed bookings. Repeated cancellations may result in account restrictions
  • No-shows: If a driver does not arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled time, the host may cancel the booking and a no-show fee may apply
